In a stampede for free Christmas foodstuffs, six individuals are feared dead.
The stampede occurred around Rumudara Town, Obio/Akpor LGA, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, at about 7:30 am
on Tuesday, December 15.
The incident occurred at an office allegedly owned by Pinkcoin, an online blockchain digital asset intended for charity provision, according to Vanguard.
It was said that Pinkcoin had invited everyone who registered with them on Tuesday in Obio/Akpor LGA to come and redeem their Christmas palliatives.
As they tried to get access to the firm’s premises, a large crowd showed up and could not be managed.
During the rush to collect the palliatives, sadly, several individuals were trampled upon.
