In the month under review, the Burkina Faso international was named the best player in the Dutch top flight.
As the recipient of the Eredivisie Player of the Month award for October, Ajax center-forward Lassina Traore was revealed.
In the month under examination for the Sons of the Gods, the 19-year-old attacker delivered eye-catching results.
As Erik ten Hag’s men won three consecutive wins against Heerenveen, VVV Venlo and Fortuna Sittard, the forward played a key role.
In order to help his side win a record 13-0 win in the encounter, Traore was involved in eight goals against VVV, bagging five goals and three assists.
In a single Eredivisie match, the Burkina Faso international thus became one of the top three youngest players with five goals.
After gathering 18 points from seven games, the performances of Traore contributed to his side’s current top spot on the league table.
He’s now been rewarded for scintillating displays, scooping the division’s best player of the month.
In the current campaign, the forward has found the back of the net seven times and provided five assists in 12 appearances across all contests.
Before moving to Europe to continue his development, the young attacker played for Rahimo in Burkina Faso and Ajax Cape Town in South Africa, joining Ajax in 2017.
The forward was promoted to the first team two years after his arrival at the Johan Cruyff Arena and made his debut in the Eredivisie against Utrecht.
