During the weekend, the Top Dog musician, whose real name is Mark Antonyyo Alexander, was shot and killed. He’d been 26.
Officials state that when he was fired early Saturday morning, November 28, he was at the Iron Horse Parkway near East Dublin BART Station.
Around 1 a.m., police arrived at the scene. And the 26-year-old suffered from many bullet wounds, he said. He was rushed by ambulance to the Eden Medical Center in the Castro Valley, where he eventually died of his injuries.
Highway 420 Productions, Yase’s record label, wrote in a statement: “We appreciate all the love and support. Yase loved his fans, he worked every day for y’all. We have hundreds of songs coming for you.”
According to TMZ, his death remains a mystery with no police motive yet to make any arrest at the moment.
