Indian actor, Faraaz Khan passes away at 50 after he was diagnosed with brain infection


The Bollywood actor, Faraaz Khan, died after fighting a brain infection at the age of 50.

On Wednesday, November 4, Faraaz, who was hospitalized in Bengaluru on October 8 due to a neurological condition, died.

The news of his death was shared by actress-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt on Twitter.

“With a heavy heart, I break the news that #FaraazKhan has left us for what I believe, is a better place. Gratitude to all for your help & good wishes when he needed it most. Please keep his family in your thoughts & prayers. The void he has left behind will be impossible to fill,” she wrote

The actor’s brother, Fahmaan, shared information about his health a few weeks ago and pleaded for financial assistance for treatment.

“Faraaz was admitted to the Vikram hospital emergency ward where we found out that due to a herpes infection in his brain that had spread from his chest, he suffered three consecutive seizures. In addition, when he suffered from these seizures, he swallowed the mucus and saliva of his cough that entered his lungs and induced pneumonia,” the family said in the statement.

Faraz Khan has starred in films such as Mehndi (1998), Fareb (1996), Dulhan Banoo Main Teri (1999), among others, and Chand Bujh Gaya (2005).
