A former Jigawa state governor, Sule Lamido, has said that Nigerians have failed President Buhari and must wake up at midnight and seek forgiveness from Allah.
In an interview with BBC Hausa, Lamido said this while reacting to the gruesome murder of 43 farmers by members of Boko Haram in Borno state on Saturday, November 28.
President Buhari should drop his ” arrogance ” and seek the forgiveness of Allah, Lamido added.
Without sabotage, there is no way a government can go successfully, but you need to be strong enough to overcome these challenges. If he can’t really stand this, he must resign, but we can’t accept sabotage as a reason.
If he has not failed, how are you going to allow some people to kill 43 people? How are you going to allow bandits to raid villages and set them on fire and rape their women? Somewhere, something is wrong.
We hope that our prayers will be answered, but Buhari has to go first. He should ask himself what crimes he has committed. He must wake up at midnight, drop his arrogance and pray. He should ask for the forgiveness of Allah for the crimes he has committed.
Speaking further, President Buhari was accused by the former governor of never listening to anyone.
He is arrogant and always speaks proudly. It’s been said by many people and we’ve seen it. If you’ve said something like this in the last four years, you’ll be cursed, but now the truth has come.
The problem is that he’s not listening to what people say, but they’ve all spoken out. The Ulamas, the masses, and the traditional leaders… have spoken out, the people are tired.
Nigerians prayed for him when Buhari was sick and they are still doing so, but he failed to address their challenges
