After the news that he had been rushed to the hospital after sustaining a suspected brain aneurysm, Dr Dre’s home was attacked by sick criminals.
Some would-be robbers obviously saw, according to TMZ, that the musical genius had been hospitalized and attempted to break into his house.
Sources told the US publication that during the early hours of Wednesday morning, four men were spotted on Dre’s house.
Police officers spotted the crew as they lurked around the Pacific Palisades nation of the rap legend.
Security confronted them before they could get to the main section of the house, and immediately called the police.
The group tried to escape the scene, but four men were arrested for attempted robbery by police officers and are currently in custody.
After falling ill on Monday, Dre is undergoing treatment at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
On Tuesday evening, the 55-year-old music mogul sent a message to fans to send fans an update on his condition and to thank everyone for their good wishes.
Sharing an update with his followers on social media, Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, wrote: “Thanks to my family, friends and fans for all your supports”.
“I’m doing great and receiving good care from my medical team. I should be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all of the great health personnel at Cedars. One Love!!”
Earlier today, TMZ confirmed that while medics ran tests to find the cause of his sudden aneurysm, Dre was in a’ healthy and lucid’ state.
Dre’s hospitalization comes in the middle of a fight for a divorce between Dre, whose real name is Andre Romelle Young, and his wife, Nicole Young, after 24 years of marriage.
