After a battle with Covid-19, country music icon Charley Pride died at 86 years of age.
The country music legend died in Dallas following coronavirus complications on Saturday.
Kiss An Angel Good Mornin ‘, Is Somebody Goin’ to San Antone, and Mountain of Love was among his best-known songs.
His musical career was sparkling and he won a catalog of honors, including Grammy Awards, over time.
These awards included: the Entertainer of the Year award from the Country Music Association in 1971, the best male vocalist award in 1971, the same again in 1972, and a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020.
His sky-rocketing career saw 25 top 10 country hits from Star Land.
