Check out FIFA’s top 55 Players of 2020


The 55 candidates for the 2020 FIFA World XI have been announced by the International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPro).

With the eventual team lining up in a 4-3-3 formation, FIFPro appointed 10 goalkeeper nominees, 15 defenders, 15 midfielders, and 15 forwards.

In FIFA’s list of top 55 players in the world, two Manchester United players, eight Liverpool stars, five Tottenham stars, and one Arsenal man were included.

It included United, goalkeeper David de Gea, and midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

The cuts were also made by Alisson Becker of Liverpool, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Thiago Alcantara (then from Bayern Munich), Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane, and Mohamed Salah.

Hugo Lloris, Toby Alderweireld, Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, and Dele Alli were five inclusions from Tottenham.

In the list, Manchester City included Ederson, Kevin de Bruyne and Sergio Aguero.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was Arsenal’s sole delegate.
