The Guardian estimates that Ryan’s Universe has 41.7m subscribers and 12.2bn views.

After a complaint, the videos he uploads do not reveal all sponsors properly, but the family has come under fire.

Nearly 9% of the videos in the Ryan ToysReview featured at least one paid product recommendation for pre-schoolers, a category that is too young to discern between an advertisement and a review.

“According to a complaint from the consumer watchdog, Truth In Advertising, these advertisements often depict unhealthy foods.”

Journalism and media studies professor Benjamin Burroughs has raised concerns about the growth of influencers among children.

“He said As a child influencer, marketers are courting [Ryan] to play with the new gadget so that other kids can see it.

But now the child influencer himself has become a brand that, as its own power and control, is then put into Walmart, Target, and Amazon.

“That’s rather shocking.”

Mr Beast (Jimmy Donaldson), $24 m, in second position, is among the other YouTubers who made the list.

Dude Perfect is in third place, winning $23m.

The account is run by five friends who play stunts with lightsabers: Coby Cotton, Cory Cotton, Garret Hilbert, Cody Jones and Tyler Toney.
