After 10 years and only one Premier League appearance, Lucas Piazon, Chelsea’s longest-serving player, eventually left the club.
A four-year deal with the Portuguese side Braga until 2025 was signed by the Brazilian attacking midfielder, 26, on Thursday.
In the summer of 2011, Piazon arrived at Chelsea and made only three senior appearances for the Blues, and all in 2012. During his time with Chelsea, he had seven loan spells at Malaga, Vitesse Arnhem, Eintracht Frankfurt, Reading, Fulham, Chievo, and Rio Ave.
Having concluded a permanent agreement with Braga, which lasts until at least 2025, Piazon will now settle in Portugal.
‘A new signing for SC Braga is Lucas Piazon,’ the Portuguese outfit reported on their official website.
This season, the attacking midfielder played with Rio Ave in Liga NOS and has signed for the club until 2025.
‘The 26-year-old played in most big leagues in Europe. SC Braga’s seventh signing this season is Lucas Piazon.’
