For London, the South East and East of England, Christmas will be canceled, with those areas transferred to a new Tier 4, it has been confirmed.
This festive season, Boris Johnson would reportedly advise those living in the capital, southeast, and east, to “stay at home”
Festive bubbles will also be permitted on Christmas Day only in Tiers 1-3 with a “stay local message” and regional travel discouraged, it has been claimed.
The proposed reforms are scheduled to be revealed by the Prime Minister in a press conference from No.10 on 19 December at 4 pm.
Caroline Wheeler, a deputy political editor of the Sunday Times, said in a tweet ahead of the briefing: “Christmas for London, South East, and East was canceled as areas moved into new Tier 4 with a “stay at home” message by law.”
“Christmas bubbles on Xmas Day only allowed with “stay local message for Tiers 1 – 3. International travel not advised. Latest plan.”
The news will come as a devastating blow to Brits who were promised to see loved ones at Christmas with a five-day relationship of the rules.
