According to Goal, At the Premier League summit, Liverpool pushed six points clear after a scintillating performance against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

As Liverpool began a five-game winless streak away from home in the Premier League with an emphatic 7-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, Robert Firmino and Mohamed Salah scored a brace.

Jurgen Klopp’s champions had drawn four and lost one of their top-flight games on the road following a 2-0 victory at Chelsea on September 20, but after Takumi Minamino’s opener after 125 seconds, a return to winning ways away from Anfield was never in doubt.

They followed that up before half-time with fine goals from Sadio Mane and Firmino, while in the second period, Jordan Henderson, Firmino and a brace from substitute Salah sealed a spectacular win.

The dominant win extended Liverpool’s lead to six points at the top, but with a win over Leicester City on Sunday, Tottenham could reduce that down to three.

After being teed up by Mane, Liverpool wasted little time asserting their dominance in the game, Minamino lashing his first Premier League goal into Vicente Guaita’s bottom-right corner from 10 yards.

10 minutes before the break, the Reds doubled their advantage against the run of play, Mane flashing a fine strike past Guaita from 15 yards after catching Firmino’s pass.

In the 44th minute, they then capped a fantastic first half, Firmino manipulating Andy Robertson’s cross before flicking superbly past a helpless Guaita with the outside of his foot.

After the restart, things went from bad to worse for Palace as Henderson grabbed his first goal of the season, the captain expertly whipping after being set up by Trent Alexander-Arnold into the far corner from 22 yards.

In the 68th minute, Firmino then added his second, lifting over Guaita from Salah’s incisive pass before the Egyptian international added the sixth header nine minutes from time with a close-range header.

Three minutes later, Salah added another gloss to the scoreline, curling from outside the penalty area into Guatia’s top-right corner.
