According to DailyStar, Donald Trump became the first US president to have twice been impeached.
The Senate will hold a trial as to whether Mr. Trump is guilty of his involvement in the Capitol riots last week.
A total of 10 Republicans voted against their own party and Mr. Trump, with 232 votes to impeach and 197 against as the final result.
It makes Mr. Trump the first US president to be impeached twice since his calls to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had been previously charged.
After the deadly protests at the US Capitol last week, the outgoing US president was charged with inciting an uprising.
Mr Trump, including Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Twitch, has been barred from a string of social media sites.
