Donald Trump will be recognized as the worst president in history – Arnold Schwarzenegger says

In a video posted on Sunday, January 10, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Hollywood star and former Governor of California, criticized President Donald Trump in a video and also likened the riot at the US Capitol that the President incited to Kristallnacht, the night in November 1938 when Nazi thugs assaulted Jewish Germans and their belongings, a harbinger of horrors to come.

Remember that on Wednesday, January 6, Trump supporters broke into the Capitol after the president ordered them to “fight like hell” in support of his effort to reverse Joe Biden’s election loss.

Five people died, including a Capitol police officer who was struck by law enforcement with a fire extinguisher and a rioter fired.

Schwarzenegger started the video by sharing a tale of his youth in Austria and comparing the Capitol riot to Broken Glass Night, a night in 1938 when Jewish-owned buildings were demolished by the Nazis.

“They were in intense suffering from the shrapnel in their bodies and in emotional pain from what they saw or did,” he also shared a recollection of his father coming home drunk and assaulting his family.

The actor even compared American democracy to a shield he wielded on the screen in the loincloth of Conan the Barbarian almost 40 years ago, calling out the US President over his many false charges of election fraud, saying: ‘Our democracy is like the steel of this blade. The more it is regulated, the more it becomes powerful.’

He also compared the Nazis to the Proud Boys, a far-right nationalist party in America. Some leaders of the Proud Boys were arrested in the capital of the country, before and after the riots on Wednesday.

Trump was called a failed leader by Schwarzenegger and said he was comforted that Trump’s presidency was coming to an end and “would soon be as irrelevant as an old tweet.”

He goes on to call on Republican Party representatives to encourage President Trump to do so, saying that they are all complicit in the riots.

He ends the video by calling for unity, saying, “President-elect Biden, we will stand with you forever tomorrow to defend our democracy from those who threaten it.”

In California, Schwarzenegger, a member of the Republican Party, was elected governor in 2003. He served for eight years until 2011 as governor.
