Steve Bannon, Donald Trump’s former chief strategist, was barred from Twitter after he called for the removal of Dr. Anthony Fauci, America’s top infectious disease specialist, and Christopher Wray, the FBI director, for failing to back the president.
“A statement from the social media site said the @WarRoomPandemic account was” permanently suspended for violating the Twitter laws, specifically our policy on the glorification of violence.
Mr. Bannon, currently on bail after pleading not guilty to bribery and money laundering charges, made the remarks during an online show in which he blamed the two for not adequately helping President Trump.
I really want to go a step farther now, but I know the president is a kind-hearted man and a decent man. I would actually like to go back to Tudor England’s old days. I would put the heads on pikes. Right. I would put them as a message to federal bureaucrats at the two corners of the White House. Either you get with the program or you’re out, “Bannon said during a Livestream of his online podcast s.”
In 2016, Steve Bannon was appointed chief executive of the successful presidential campaign by Trump. He became his chief strategist after Trump’s inauguration, but clashed with others in the White House and was fired in August 2017.
