Explosions shook a church in Port Harcourt, the state capital, belonging to the father of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike – According to Tribune.
It was discovered that on Saturday night, hoodlums numbering about five sneaked into the Christian Universal Church International on 25 Azikiwe Street Mile, 3 Diobu, and exploded the dynamite-suspected explosives.
The study notes that a large portion of the church was also destroyed by the blast, causing confusion in the city.
No group, however, assumed responsibility for the dastardly act, and two of the miscreants were said to have been apprehended by a vigilante group and handed over to the police.
It was said that Eagle crack operatives, an outfit of the state police command, Mopol 19 and other security agencies had cordoned off the area.
