Vladimir Putin finally, congratulates Joe Biden on winning the U.S Elections


On Tuesday, President Vladimir Putin congratulated Joe Biden on the US presidential election victory,

In the midst of President Donald Trump’s refusal to admit that he had lost in the November election, his letter to Biden came the day after the Electoral College confirmed Biden as the nation’s next president.

Putin was one of the last world leaders who had not recognized Biden’s victory, claiming that once the winner was formally confirmed, he would hold off congratulating him.

In a telegram sent to Biden and released by Russian state media, Russia’s long-standing leader;

expressed confidence that Russia and the U.S., who bear special responsibility for global security and stability, can facilitate the resolution of many problems and challenges faced by the world now despite disagreements.

The President of Russia noted that “Russian-American cooperation, based on the principles of equality and mutual respect, would satisfy the interests of the people of the two countries and of the international community as a whole.”

“I am ready for interaction and contact with you for my part,” Putin was quoted as saying by Kremlin.

As cybersecurity experts pointed the finger at the Russian government for carrying out a huge, months-long digital surveillance campaign targeting the U.S. government, military, and companies, Putin’s congratulatory message to Biden arrived. Russia denies any role in the hacking attack.
