The White House Deputy National Security Advisor, Matt Pottinger, has resigned in the aftermath of US President Donald Trump’s reaction to a crowd of his backers entering the US Capitol.
According to sources, Pottinger told his associates and friends that there was very little for him to think, as it was clear that Trump’s words encouraged the mob to attack Capitol Hill during his Wednesday rally.
According to a recent CNN article, some of President Donald Trump’s top aides, including national security advisor Robert O’Brien and deputy chief of staff Chris Liddell, were considering resigning after the disturbances that occurred on Capitol Hill, surprising the entire world.
Pottinger isn’t the only staffer in the White House to resign on Wednesday. Stephanie Grisham, First Lady Melania Trump’s former White House press secretary, quit as chief of staff. CNN also announced that on Wednesday, many other staffers resigned from the White House.
