Covid-19 vaccination centers are being set up for the nation’s largest immunization campaign ever in hospitals, sports stadiums and conference centers up and down Britain.

This week in Coventry, the NHS delivered the first Pfizer jabs with 17 mass vaccination centers, including racecourses, now ready to spread the launch nationwide.

Over the next few months, a total of 91 hospitals and GP surgeries in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will also deliver jabs to patients.

Patience is being asked of members of the public as when they are next in line to get the jab and where they are to go for it, the NHS will notify people.

Places currently mentioned as potential centres of mass vaccination are:

Margaret Keenan, 90, went to the University Hospital in Coventry to become the first person in the world to receive the Pfizer jab on Wednesday as part of a vaccination program.

The Grandmother said: “I feel so fortunate to be the first person vaccinated against Covid-19, it is the best early birthday gift I might want because it means that after being on my own for most of the year, I can finally look forward to spending time with my family and friends in the New Year.”

Health Secretary Matt Hancock said on Thursday that tens of thousands of people had been vaccinated.
