If something happens to Neymar, you must suffer with your life – Thiago Mendes receive death threats over Neymar’s injury

After the Lyon midfielder was sent off for a horrible challenge on Neymar during his side’s 1-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday, December 13, Thiago Mendes and his family were sent death threats on social media.

After being on the receiving end of a horror challenge from his fellow countryman, the Brazilian superstar was stretchered off in tears.

After his surprising tackle, Mendes later went to Instagram to apologize to Neymar, saying: “Like the people of Brazil, I also admire his football and I hope that nothing serious has happened.” May he recover quickly and offer the fan some joy. Here is my sincere apology again”

Mendes and his family were subjected to vitriolic harassment and death threats from fans of both PSG and the international Brazil online, following news that Neymar could be out for some time with an ankle injury.

Kelly, Mendes’ wife, told CNEWS that they had called the police to assist with the attacks.

She also cited some of her and her partner’s violence.

One read: “For the actions of your boyfriend if anything happens to Neymar, you’ll pay with your life.” One by one, you and your mates.’
