In the ‘Battle of Britain’ mega-fight next year, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will earn £100m each

The comfortable victory of Anthony Joshua over Kubrat Pulev over the weekend has intensified talk of next year’s Tyson Fury clash, a contest that will unify the heavyweight division and be one of the great sporting moments in Britain.

Conversations between his camp and Fury’s camp will begin today, Monday, December 14, according to Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, and the agreement could be arranged in two days.

Hearn also announced that with the winner of the rematch fight going home with 60 percent of earnings, both fighters will pocket £ 100million each with the loser making 40 percent.

He also claimed that in late May 2021, the first fight could be in Dubai, Qatar, or Saudi Arabia as a fight in the United Kingdom will not make up to half of the number.

In heavyweight boxing, all fighters have all the belts, so a fighting winner is not only guaranteed 100 million, but all 6 belts/titles as well.

‘We are all in for the battle,’ Hearn said. The only thing that needs to be discussed is where it will be and a few TV problems. It is that.

Everyone is totally in the finances (on both sides)-50-50 first fight, 60-40 to the winner, two fights.

We can sign an agreement and then go to a multi-site discussion to see where we can get the money. There is no excuse why in a couple of days we can not complete the deal and then go on and fix the other issues.

We need to write to the governing bodies to say we have an agreement and we’re going to speak to the different sites and confirm the dates shortly for what I think will be the end of May.’
