In Two Rounds, I Will Knock Out Anthony Joshua – Tyson Fury Boasts

On Monday, Tyson Fury said that due to his recent form, he could knock out fellow British world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua within two rounds.

After Joshua’s past two bouts, a conclusive points decision over Andy Ruiz Junior in December 2019 and a ninth-round stoppage of Kubrat Pulev last month, WBC belt holder Fury said the match would be a no contest.

Before an outstanding seventh-round knock-out to take the WBC title off Deontay Wilder last February, Fury won a unanimous points decision over Swede Otto Wallin in September 2019.

Fury told Sky Sports, “I don’t believe he (Joshua) is as nice as people crack him up to be, or he doesn’t believe he’s in himself.”

“He has a trust problem. Two shaky results he’s coming off and boxing is all about who is in shape and who isn’t. He wasn’t in shape in his last two fights.

“On mine, I am, so momentum is with me and I just believe take him out early, very early, maybe even one round or two rounds.”

Fury is hopeful that the contest, one of the biggest in the history of British boxing, will take place as soon as possible.

Potential obstacles in the way of the super-fight include Joshua’s WBO mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk and another potential encounter between Fury and Wilder.
