The banned Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB has denounced plans by Nigeria’s Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association to send 5,000 vigilantes to the country’s southeast region.

The Miyetti Allah group recently declared that vigilantes would be deployed in the South East to defend herders and their animals.

IPOB said in a statement released by its Director of Media and Publicity, Emma Strong, that it was prepared to fight Miyetti Allah’s proposal, and that the cattle breeders’ stance was an insult to Igbo territory.

“The focus of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra has been drawn to the threat by Miyetti Allah to deploy 5,000 jihadists to Biafra land to protect their cows and herders following the floating of Ebube Agu security outfit by South-East governors.

Despite our grievances against the treacherous South-East governors and political elite, we consider this utterance an insult to the entire Biafra and will not tolerate it.

The Miyetti Allah and their terrorist organization should be aware that they cannot continue to play God indefinitely. They’re attempting to incite ESN and IPOB to take drastic measures. With their insults, IPOB and ESN are running out of patience,” he said.
