Senator Magnus Abe weighed in on the Oyigbo crisis that a couple of weeks ago rocked the state of Rivers.
In an interview with Arise News, the Rivers-born politician claimed that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is an organisation dedicated to destruction. He emphasized that as an entity it should be connected to and not as an issue with Igbo.
Abe alleged that IPOB, like Boko Haram, is an organization with a “terrorist orientation” to tear the federal republic of Nigeria apart. He also disclosed that inquiries are currently underway to unmask the real situation in the culture of the Rivers.
Furthermore, Abe revealed that during the crisis, a policeman who was formerly attached to his security team was targeted simply because he was a police officer. He added that his neighbor was burnt alive when the policeman’s house was burning.
