IPOB launches intelligence outfit for south-east and south-south

A security outfit known as the Eastern Security Network (ESN) was introduced by the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), which it claimed would secure the south-east and south-south from illegal activity.

Emma Strong, the spokesperson for the banned group who made the announcement on Sunday, December 13, said the outfit is a replica of Amotekun launched by the south-western governors to curb the region’s insecurity.

He added that the “failure” of the South-East and South-South governors to implement measures to secure the citizens of those regions contributed to the launch of the security outfit.

The sole purpose and mission of this newly created security agency known as the Eastern Security Network is to stop all illegal activities and terrorist attacks on Biafraland.

This outfit, which is a vigilante group like the south-western Amotekun and the security outfit of Miyetti Allah, will ensure the security of our forests and farmlands that terrorists have transformed into slaughter grounds and raping fields.

We cannot watch helplessly as terrorists are steadily removing those we are agitating to free from slavery.

Therefore, we warn all robbers, kidnappers and other criminals to stay clear of the land of Biafra or prepare for the worst. No matter the price, we have to defend Biafra.

Special telephone numbers for individuals to call will be released by Biafra security network staff if there is any case of violence, including kidnapping and robbery activities, in the whole of Biafra Territory.

Every resident of Biafra Land should use the numbers for prompt response to report any illegal activity anywhere in Biafra Land.

Unnecessary police brutality must also be stopped against innocent civilians.

The police and military checkpoints that have been turned to extort points since then should be demolished. Any attempt to sabotage this network of security will be stoutly resisted.
