Japan confirms new Covid-19 strain, which causes huge spikes in cases

Japan has reported that four individuals who had recently arrived in the country from Brazil were found to have a new mutated strain of the coronavirus that causes Covid-19.

The health ministry of the Asian nation reported that both men and women were sick, ranging in age from teens to individuals in their 40s.

Although similarities exist to newly discovered mutant strains first recorded in the United Kingdom, It is suspected that this unique form has not been spotted before in South Africa.
