Juventus and Benevento delays match in the 10th minute to honour Maradona

The two teams were among several clubs across Europe that paid homage on Saturday to the Argentine hero.

In the 10th minute on Saturday, Juventus and Benevento halted their match to remember Diego Maradona, who passed away on Wednesday at the age of 60.

On Thursday, before their Europa League match, Napoli were able to pay tribute to Maradona, with all of their players sporting the No.10 jersey as they were lining up before the game.

Before their Premier League match earlier in the day, Manchester City and Burnley, meanwhile, had a minute of silence and then cheers.

Bundesliga teams in Germany have held a minute of silence to honor Maradona prior to their matches.

Meanwhile, in France, the Marseille and Nantes players lined up and created a ‘M’ before their match, a tribute that will be replicated all weekend in Ligue 1.
