Kano Pillars signs a young American-born football player who relocated to Nigeria with his parents

Ahead of the start of the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, Kano Pillars have signed a young American-born football player to their under 15 academy.

The young lad, Neuer Abraham, whose parents had recently moved to Nigeria, was introduced by his father to Kano Pillars after an agreement was allegedly reached by both parties.

The U15 team manager Sani Abubakar Sadauki was quoted at the unveiling this week as saying:” Neuer is a very young kid with multi-talents and we will discipline and be prepared to join the U15 Kano pillars training community anytime soon.”

Nigerians are mocking images of the unveiling circulating on social media, with some asking why the American family wanted to settle here in Nigeria.
