Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari reported that three hundred and thirty-three students were missing on Friday night following an attack on Katsina’s Kankara Government Science Secondary School.
The Governor gave the figure when on Sunday 13 December, he received a delegation from the Federal Government, led by National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno.
We are still looking for 333 students in either the forest or their parents to assess the exact number of kidnapped on the basis of the available record we have. We are still counting because more are coming out of the forest and we call those parents who have phone numbers via the numbers to find out whether their kids have gone back home or not.
As a country, we have yet to be approached by any organization or entity responsible for the abduction of students.
