Last month, Bernie Sanders actually predicted that Trump will claim he won the US election

When appearing on a TV program, Bernie Sanders predicted the outcome of the US presidential election last month.

In the presidential election, a winner has yet to be announced, with neither President Donald Trump nor Joe Biden close to winning the 270 electoral college votes required. Nevertheless, in a number of crucial swing states whose counts have yet to be called, Trump has already declared victory and claimed that the election was a “fraud” that he would take to the Supreme Court.

Trump’s speech surprised many, but Senator Bernie Sanders turned out to have predicted the result back in October.

US Senator Bernie Sanders, who dropped out of the 2020 Presidential Election race after facing a string of defeats to Joe Biden on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on October 24, anticipated the likelihood of Trump prematurely proclaiming himself President even before the ballots were counted.

During the broadcast, Fallon asked, “Since the election is November 3rd, and it’s said we won’t know the results until a few days later, when do you think we’re going to know the results?”

“Sanders, who was previously in the running to be the Democratic ticket candidate, said:” Jimmy, you’re raising an important point, and I hope the American people understand it, because I’m concerned about this. My opinion is that every vote needs to be counted.

You’re going to have a situation for reasons that I don’t have the time to get into tonight, I suspect, in states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, other states where they’re going to receive huge amounts of mail-in ballots. And unlike states like Florida or Vermont, before Election Day or maybe when the polls close, they are not able to start processing those ballots for bad reasons. That means you will have states struggling with millions of mail-in ballots, maybe.

“Here’s my question. What polls suggest, and what studies have shown, is that Democrats are more likely to use mail-in ballots for whatever cause. On Election Day, Republicans are more likely to walk into voting booths. The first votes that will be counted are likely to be those people who came in on Election Day, which will be Republican.”

And here’s the fear-and I hope everyone hears it-it could well be, you know, I don’t know what’s going to happen, no one does.

But it may well be that Trump wins in Michigan at 10 a.m. on election night, he wins in Pennsylvania, he wins in Wisconsin, and he gets on TV and says, ‘Thank you Americans for re-electing me.’ Everything’s done. Have a nice day.’

But then all those mail-in ballots start to be counted the next day, and the next day, and it turns out that Biden won those states. And Trump says,’ see? I told you the whole thing was fake. I told you that the mail-in ballots were crooked. And we’re not going to quit office.’ So that’s a question I and a lot of people have.’

Trump gave a speech on election day, as Sanders predicted, declaring victory even as the counting of mail-in ballots in four states remains in progress.
