According to UEFA executive committee member Jesper Moller, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Real Madrid will be kicked out of the Champions League on Friday after announcing their plans to break away and form a European Super League.

The earth-shattering news that 12 leading clubs from England, Spain, and Italy will shape a new and exclusive midweek tournament late on Sunday night has left European football in a state of shock.

The contentious project has caused outrage across Europe, with UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin describing it as a “spit in the face” to supporters.

And Moller, the chairman of the Danish FA and a member of UEFA’s executive committee, believes that some of the clubs involved will face sanctions as early as this Friday.

In this season’s Champions League, four teams remain; Chelsea will face Real Madrid in the first semi-final, while City will face Paris Saint-Germain in the other.

PSG is the only semi-finalist who has not been offered a place in the Super League.

“Then you have to figure out how you’re going to end the Champions League.”

“On Friday, there must be an extraordinary executive committee meeting.” I believe the 12 clubs will be thrown out.”

The other nine clubs involved in the proposal are Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur in England, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona in Spain, and AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Juventus in Italy.

Every team is expected to earn an incredible £310 million just for entering the Super League, which is being sponsored by J.P. Morgan, a US investment bank.

The project’s greatest flaw is its blatant disdain for competition, with 15 founding members supposed to be guaranteed a place in the league regardless of athletic achievement.
