Manchester United, if they wish to part ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, are reportedly interested in making Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel their next manager, according to reports from DailyStar.
At the end of the season, Tuchel is expected to leave PSG and is the latest name to be connected with the United job, with the club previously having contact with Mauricio Pochettino.
So far, United has had an uneven season, with outstanding victories over PSG and RB Leipzig and frustrating losses to Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur, and Basaksehir Istanbul.
If United lose out on a top-four spot this season, the boot could be offered to Solskjaer and Tuchel could be in line for the job, according to the German publication BILD.
The German football expert Christian Falk told BILD, “According to our information he can really imagine taking the step to the Premier League,”
It is no secret that at the end of the season his chapter at Paris Saint Germain will possibly be done. There are no negotiations, and we know that contact with Tuchel and Manchester United has already been made in the past.
It is a club that will complement him and he should certainly be there when the time comes for managers to be shortlisted. Up until 2022, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer just has a deal and United is far from the Premier League places in the Champions League.
“There is the threat from Leipzig in the Champions League group stages, so the topic of Tuchel at United could quickly become hot.”
Reports have also emerged suggesting that Pochettino is lined up to replace Tuchel at PSG, with the Argentinean previously spending two and a half seasons as a player at the club.
“He has really strong relations with PSG, he was their player, their captain, and he loves Paris as a city and a football club.really “He’s good at PSG, he’s been their player, their captain, and he loves Paris as a city and as a football club.
