Microsoft says it is now providing refunds for Cyberpunk 2077 to everyone who has bought the game from its Microsoft Shop.

Although the company has already given refunds to some consumers, this is now being extended by Microsoft to include anyone who has digitally bought the game.

In a statement to The Verge, a Microsoft spokesperson explains, We know that the developers at CD Projekt Red have worked hard to ship Cyberpunk in extremely challenging conditions.

We also understand, however, that some players have been disappointed with the new experience on older consoles. To date, to the vast majority of customers who have demanded one we have issued refunds.

We will extend our current refund policy to give full refunds to everyone who bought Cyberpunk 2077 digitally from the Microsoft Store, until further notice, to ensure that every player is able to get the experience they expect on Xbox.

You should follow the steps on Microsoft’s support page if you are interested in a Microsoft Store refund.

The extension of the refund policy follows days of concerns about bugs, crashes, and the way the game runs on PS4 and Xbox One based consoles.

This week, Sony also moved to refund disgruntled Cyberpunk 2077 players and also removed the PlayStation Store game. As the title is still listed and available on the Microsoft Website, Microsoft is not going as far as Sony to delete the game entirely.

Just days after Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red told people dissatisfied with their purchase on the PS4 or Xbox One should request a refund, Sony and Microsoft’s attempts to refund players come just days after Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red.

In order to enhance the game, CD Projekt Red has also committed itself to release updates, with one due in the coming days and more critical patches scheduled for January and February.
