Nigeria ranks 146 out of 180 countries in Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index


Nigeria is now ranked 146 in the Corruption Perception Index of Transparency International out of 180 countries.

Steve H. Hanke, an American professor of Applied Economics at the University of Johns Hopkins, said that after slipping from the 136th position it was in when President Buhari was first inaugurated, the West African nation took 146th place.

He tweeted;

#Nigeria now ranks 146th out of 180 countries in Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index, slipping from 136th place when @MBuhari was first inaugurated. Under Buhari’s “watchful eye”, corruption runs rampant.
