Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman of the Nigerian Diaspora Committee, referred to the detention of Nigerian singer Omah Lay and Tems in Ugandan police custody.
Remember that Omah Lay was arrested in Uganda along with his colleague Tems for breaching COVID-19 laws.
On Monday, the police also charged both artists in court and said they would be in custody until Wednesday.
On his Twitter page, Omah Lay also said that the Ugandan authorities are preventing the Ministry of Aviation from securing their release.
In a tweet thread, Dabiri-Erewa replied that the Nigerian government was doing everything possible to resolve the problem.
