Nigeria’s Chief Justice, Tanko Muhammad, tested positive for coronavirus

Tanko Muhammad, the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), has tested positive for the coronavirus.

At the unveiling of the national headquarters of the Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN) in Abuja on Tuesday 15 December, Justice Ibrahim Saulawa, a member of the Supreme Court, announced this at the unveiling of the national headquarters of the Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN)

Remember that on Monday, December 15, Justice Muhammad, 66, was absent from the swearing-in of 72 new Senior Advocates of Nigeria. The next most senior Supreme Court Judge, Justice Olabode Rhodes-Vivour, who administered oaths to the new SANs, performed his task.

To undergo treatment, the CJN was flown to the United Arab Emirates.
