An update on the search for killers has been served by Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State by State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Philip Shekwo.
Sule, who provided the update on Saturday November 28 while hosting the national leadership of the Trade Union Congress Women’s Commission at the Government House in Lafia, said three of the suspects were killed by military operatives in the state’s Loko district on Friday November 27, while nine other suspects were also detained during the operation.
The Governor also announced that four AK47 numbers had been retrieved from suspects killed in Loko by security operatives.
“Three suspects, connected to the murder of the state chairman of the APC, were killed by military operatives in Loko on Friday, while nine other suspects were also linked to the murder of the late Chief Shekwo.”
“With these offenders, the military is not taking things kindly. We face a few security problems in the area, but there was no relief for the security services.”
“If we have the resources, all our resources will be put in place to ensure that we safeguard our people’s lives and property.”
