Just 17 minutes after receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, a Tennessee nurse fainted live on television.
On Thursday, December 17, nurse Tiffany Dover was among the first nurses in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to receive the vaccine.
When the incident happened, she was holding an interview with the local News Channel 9 news outlet.
‘It really is… I apologize for feeling very dizzy. I’m sorry…’ she said as she immediately began to feel awkward before collapsing to the ground with two of her colleagues running to catch her.
She and her colleagues insisted after she recovered that it had nothing to do with the vaccine, but a disease that causes her to collapse when she experiences pain.
‘It is a reaction that can occur with any injection or shot very often,’ said Dr. Jesse Tucker, Critical Care Medicine Medical Director at CHI Memorial, who also received the vaccine.
