Ozil will not leave Arsenal in January – his agent claims

According to Goal, The midfielder plans to stay at the club for his new contract despite not being included in the Gunners’ Premier League and Europa League rosters.

His Agent has revealed that in January the exiled midfielder will not leave Arsenal and maintains his client has every intention of seeing out the rest of his deal.

In October, Ozil was removed from the Premier League and Europa League squads of Mikel Arteta and will not be picked again for first-team action until at least January when it is possible to make changes to the player lists.

Since March 7, the former Real Madrid midfielder, a club-record signing when he joined in 2013 for an estimated £ 42 million, has not made an appearance.

Since delivering 19 assists and producing 28 major chances in 35 Premier League outings during the 2015-16 season, Ozil’s impact has decreased, setting up nine, eight, two, and two goals respectively in the following four campaigns.

However, for every 90 minutes, he was on the pitch in the top flight last season, he created 2.36 opportunities, comfortably more than the second-placed player on the list, Nicolas Pepepe (1.79).

Although Dr Erkut Sogut, Ozil’s agent, maintains that there are a number of clubs interested in signing the playmaker, he says that the former German international, whose contract expires at the end of the season, is solely concentrated on Arsenal.
