Photos shows Nigerian soldiers assisting people of Zabarmari as they harvest their farm goods

On Friday, December 11, a Facebook user, Bello Inua Anka, posted images of Nigerian soldiers protecting and supporting the citizens of the Zabarmari farming community in Jere Local Government Area of Borno while harvesting their farms in the village of Koshebe.

This will come weeks after more than 43 Zabarmari rice farmers were slaughtered by Boko Haram terrorists in Koshebe village in Mafa State Local Government Area while working in a rice field.

Although many commended the military for their actions, they, however, said it was not sustainable to guard farmers.

Hadiza Suleiman, another Facebook user, wrote:

“This is good but unlikely to be sustainable. The army needs to be proactive and not reactive. They need to take offensive action against the terrorists and not wait for them to attack. The US could rescue one of their citizens in Nigeria using intelligence that I hope is also available to our security age”
