The police arrested three people in connection with the attack on Christian Universal Church International belonging to the father of the Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wik.
Nnamdi Omoni, the Police Public Relations Officer, said the suspects were helping to investigate.
“He said I can confirm the attack against the Church and the arrest of three suspects in connection with the attack. They are helping us with our studies. The Church was swept over by the Department of Explosives.”
On Saturday night, hoodlums numbering about five sneaked into the Christain Universal Church International on 25 Azikiwe Street Mile, 3 Diobu, and detonated the alleged dynamite bombs.
It was found that the explosion, which caused panic in the area, damaged a significant part of the church.
While no party assumed responsibility for the dastardly deed, three of the miscreants were said to have been arrested and handed over to the police by a vigilante group.
