Senator Rochas Okorocha remains in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) custody 24 hours after his arrest in Abuja.
The former governor of Imo state was arrested in Abuja on Tuesday, April 13, and is reportedly being questioned over a N7.9 billion suspected fraud that occurred when he was in office.
According to an anti-corruption source, the former governor has yet to be given administrative bail.
“In the last 24 hours, the former governor has been interrogated.” He hasn’t been released on bail. There are a number of transactions that he needs to explain.
He has been cooperating with our team so far. He will have to go over some documents and present his case,” the source speculated.
