A delegation of the federal government led by Senate President Ahmad Lawan arrived in Maiduguri, Borno State, at noon on Monday, November 30, on a condolence visit following Boko Haram’s murder of 43 farmers.
The delegation will include the President’s Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, the Ministers of the Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello, Ali Pantami, the Minister of Communications and the Digital Economy, and Mustapha Baba Shehuri, the Minister of State for Agriculture.
Others are the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (rtd) and Mallam Garba Shehu, the President’s Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity).

The delegation was received by the Deputy Governor of the State of Borno, Usman Umar Gadafu, upon arrival at the airport.
“On behalf of President Muhammad Buhari and the Federal Government, the delegation is in Borno to commiserate and identify with the families of the victims of the incident, the Government and the people of the State of Borno.”
