On Thursday, November 12th, the PlayStation 5 will launch and Sony has released a big FAQ detailing a lot of information about the upcoming console. There are a few new tidbits hidden in the FAQ that suggests you’re going to be able to play even more games than you would have planned on the PS5.

According to the FAQ, PS5 games will be region-free, which means you will be able to play games from other countries without any problems. That could be a big deal if, for instance, you want to play a game released in Japan, but you don’t get an official release in the US. On your PS5, the game will still work.

Sony’s PlayStation Now cloud gaming service will also be enabled by the PS5, meaning you’ll be able to play older PlayStation games than we previously knew.

PS Also allows you to download and stream some PS4 games, but certain PS3 and PS2 games can also be streamed.

Earlier this year, I had a wonderful experience using PS Now to play the PS3 version of The Last of Us, so I’m glad I’ll still be able to use the service on my PS5 to dip my toes into some old PS3 and PS2 games.

Sony has already said that most of the more than 4,000 titles on the PS4 will run on the PS5, and early tests indicate that on the new console, many PS4 games play even better. The business also offers subscribers to PlayStation Plus access to some of the greatest hits of the PS4 via the PlayStation Plus series on your PS5.
