As Manchester United came from two down to defeat Southampton 3-2, Edinson Cavani sparked a superb reversal.
Southampton had been put in charge at St Mary’s Stadium by Jan Bednarek’s header and a signature free-kick from James Ward-Prowse.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s inclusion of Cavani for the second half proved a masterstroke that paid initial dividends in the 59th minute when he teased Bruno Fernandes to halve the deficit.

Then when he diverted Marcus Rashford’s cross beyond Alex McCarthy in the 92nd minute, he answered the midfielder’s deflected shot with a diving header to equalise and have the decisive final say, securing a historic eighth consecutive Premier League away victory for United.
