Veteran actress Farida Jalal of Kannywood said that MOPPAN’s decision to suspend Rahama Sadau will not change anything about the way people look at the industry members.
The actress said this is not the first time Rahama has been removed from the industry for unwanted activities and nothing has changed in an interview with the online publication, Kano Focus.
She said the union’s leadership must find a suitable way to discipline its members who commit crimes like Rahama Sadau, not just to suspend or expel them.
She added that people would never stop looking at Rahma Sadau as a part of Kannywood, and the industry would be connected to anything she did in the future.
This is not the first time Rahama has done this and nothing has changed in the industry. So, I don’t think suspension or dismissal would make any difference.
It is troubling that many of us in the industry have insulted and cursed her while, in one way or the other, all of us are aggressive.
Whatever happens to her is her own fault, because she has done something wrong. But because she’s sorry and apologizing, we have to forgive her,’ she said.
However, she called on her industry colleagues to unite and concentrate on the growth of the industry, not insulting and cursing each other, adding that they should always put Islam’s teachings into their daily activities.
