3 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards Show

The ceremony for the 2021 Grammys was postponed.

As Rolling Stone reported, organizers are desperately trying to find another date.

Because of coronavirus issues, the ceremony, which was slated to air on January 31st, was axed.

A new date has yet to be announced by bosses at the prestigious music festival, but the media stated that it is likely the ceremony will take place in March.

In view of the Covid-19 pandemic and social distancing constraints, the music ceremony was already scheduled to be a small one this year.

A studio audience was set to forgo the 2021 ceremony, as in previous years.

It will also only encourage on-site presenters and performers in the studio, with the award finalists and winners virtually receiving their gongs.

A whole host of A-Listers is set to have the show in the mix, with Beyoncé leading the charge with nine Grammy nominations.

Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift and Roddy Richch, the British singer, were next to Queen Bey’s heels with six nominations each.

It is unclear if the show will still be hosted at its new air date by host Trevor Noah, who was booked to host the January ceremony.

The ceremony last year saw Lizzo and Billie Eilish garner the most nods from the Academy of Recording.

The annual show is often held in downtown Los Angeles, California, at the famous Staples Center.

As the Academy paid tribute to Kobe Bryant, who sadly passed away in a helicopter accident, the 2020 awards were tinged with emotion.

Alicia Keys, who hosted the ceremony, came on stage and said, “Right now, we’re all feeling crazy sadness.”

L.A., America and the Wide World lost a hero earlier today.

“We’re standing here heartbroken in the house that Kobe Bryant built.”
