According to Vatican sources, Pope Francis has obtained the coronavirus vaccine.
It comes only a day after Covid-19 died as a near personal doctor to the Pontiff.
According to sources, the 84-year-old got the jab in the Paul VI Hall atrium.
He was one of the first to be inoculated with the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccines in the Vatican, La Nacion said.
The Pope is due in three weeks to collect the second dose.
He disclosed earlier this week that he would get the injection and said, “Ethically”, everybody should get the vaccine.
He said people who declined to take it had “suicidal denialism” despite it being proven to be safe.
The Pope said: “I agree that ethically everybody should take the vaccine, because you risk your health, your life, but you endanger the lives of others, it is an ethical option.”
We’ll start doing it here next week, in the Vatican, and I’ve reserved a change. It’s got to be done.’
