The Oyo state police have arrested two men identified as Aliu Mubarak and Adewale Abiodun in connection with the shooting, dismemberment and auction of decapitated N1000 police chiefs.

After one Oladipupo Ifakorede admitted to buying the heads from the pair for ceremonial money purpose, the suspects were captured.

The two police officers, named as Ajibola Adegoke and Rotimi Oladele, were among the police officers killed by alleged hoodlums in the wake of the EndSARS demonstrations. Ifakorede said, recounting how he got the heads from Mubarak and Abiodun;

No, they (the police) have not asked me to say that. I want to use them to make money for ritual preparation. It’s for me alone. They (other suspects) didn’t let me know where the two heads had been spotted, either.

“No No. I didn’t question them if they could see them, too.”

Abiodun, confessing to the sale of the heads, said that they saw the two heads “while coming from the Egbeda area of Ibadan.”
