After making his senior international debut last month with the U.S., the former Arsenal attacker dedicated his future to his new club.
Valencia has announced that by 2026 they have locked down teenage star Yunus Musah on a new deal.

This season, the 18-year-old made the breakthrough into the first team in Valencia, making 10 appearances in La Liga and scoring one goal.

Born in the U.S. and raised in England, Musah last month accepted a call-up from the U.S. national team and won his first two senior international caps.

The attacker represented England at different youth levels and Aidy Boothroyd, head coach of the Three Lions’ Under-21, said that he did not give up hope of eventually getting back Musah.

Since Musah played in friendlies, not official matches for the USMNT, he is still qualified to play for England or Nigeria, the home country of his parents.

Boothroyd said, “I don’t know [if he has made his decision],” “I hope he hasn’t because I think if he came here and saw what we are all about that he would really enjoy it.”

After inking his new contract, Musah told Valencia’s website that he was pleased to commit his future to the club.

“I’m very happy to have signed for Valencia CF, and to have renewed my contract. I can’t wait for what the future holds,” Musah said.

“For myself and my family, it’s a dream come true. Something I’ve dreamed of since I was young was to get a first-team contract with a major club. It’s even bigger for it to happen at Valencia CF.

Valencia CF has shown faith in me and I want to continue my career at this club that has helped me start my career.

“I can’t wait for all the fans to be back at the stadium, as I’ve never experienced that before. I’ve been to Mestalla to watch a lot of matches as a spectator, but it’s going to be a unique situation playing now on the pitch.”

In the 2020-21 season, Valencia made a slow start and currently sit in 14th position, having won just three of their first 11 matches.

The next match for the club is on Monday when they fly to La Liga to face Eibar.
